From our humble beginnings to becoming Queensland’s leading luxury pet resort, our journey has been one of passion, innovation, and continuous improvement. Every step we’ve taken has been with your fur babies in mind, ensuring they have a space that meets their needs, matches their personality, and makes them feel right at home. We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and can’t wait to welcome even more furry friends into our AAA family!
Our Journey
2011
AAA Pet Resort has come a long way since we first began our journey in May 2011. Back then, we took over AAA K9 Kamp, a traditional kennel in need of a fresh start. From the very beginning, our goal was clear, to create a luxury pet boarding experience where fur babies receive five-star care in a space designed just for them.
2014
In 2014, we rebranded as AAA Pet Resort, marking the start of something special. That same year, we introduced our very first King’s Villa Room, setting the foundation for the premium accommodations we’re known for today. Every room we’ve built since has been thoughtfully designed to suit the unique needs of our furry guests. Whether they love to lounge in a spacious suite, feel safe in a cosy retreat, or need extra room to stretch out, we’ve created spaces that match every personality.
2015
A year later, in 2015, we took things to the next level with a $1 million upgrade, improving all our standard rooms, expanding our Presidential Suites, and adding more King’s Villa and Queen’s Villa rooms, ensuring every fur baby has a comfortable stay tailored to their needs.
2018
In 2018, after careful planning and approvals, we kicked off a major expansion. By September of that year, our new facilities were complete, featuring upgraded play areas, a modern office space, and even more enrichment activities for our guests. We also took this time to refine our cleaning procedures to ensure the highest hygiene and safety standards, giving pet parents complete peace of mind.
2019
Our growth continued in 2019 with the addition of six astroturf play yards and improvements to our eight large natural grass yards, providing even more space for our guests to play and socialise.
2020-2022
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we focused on giving back to the community, providing dog food donations and training services to support pet owners adjusting to the rise in pet adoptions. As restrictions eased, we strengthened our ties with the local community by sponsoring sports clubs and supporting local initiatives.
2023
In 2023, we hit another major milestone, acquiring our second facility, formerly Moggill Pet Motel, on Brisbane’s west side. We immediately set to work transforming it into AAA Pet Resort Brisbane, bringing the same five-star experience our guests love.
2025
With this expansion came an exciting $2.5 million upgrade plan for 2024-2025, with renovations already underway and set to be completed by April 2025.
